Registration for the 2020-2021 season is now live!
At this point our direction from our regulating bodies (Hockey Canada and Hockey Alberta) has been to prepare for business as usual however recognizing that it likely will not be a normal hockey season. We would like to assure you that we are considering and planning for all possibilities for the upcoming season and will be adjusting accordingly. Unfortunately due to the nature of hockey we are not able to just wait and see what happens so we are in a situation for hoping for the best but planning for the worst. All decisions for the start date, season schedules etc. will be made in conjunction with Hockey Canada, Hockey Alberta, Edmonton Federation Hockey League (EFHL), and the other jurisdictions that play within EFHL (Edmonton, Spruce Grove, Sherwood Park etc.)
With that being said, we will be opening registration earlier (May 1) and extending the registration period (until July 31), we are also extending the payment schedule for families that need or want this. We as an association will need to be prepared to be flexible with the upcoming season as everything is very unknown at this point. As always, when we have more info, we will be communicating it to our members.
We know members will be wondering what will happen with regards to refunds if necessary. It is difficult with so much unknown to come out with firm approach however if the season is cancelled altogether refunds will be issued. If the season is delayed or adjusted, fees will be adjusted accordingly, understandably we won’t know what this will look like until we know what kind of season we will have.
Registration information as well as information regarding fee assistance can be found in the document found here.
